A College Student’s Idea of a ‘Well-Branded’ Digital Image.
The first sampling that I read was Lydia Fernandes. She talks a lot about trust and learning how to trust people. We are sort of similar in this aspect minus the fact that it is hard for me to trust people. She makes trusting people sound easy, but it does take some work. As for me, I dont trust people unless they give me a reason too.
The second sampling that I read was Tina Su, she is inspiring. She left something that she was getting paid a lot to do something that she loved to do. I am trying to go to school for what I truley believe that I am going to love to do. But you never know when things can change. And her doing that gives me hope that if someday I do change my mind I know that I can do it.
The third sampling that I read was Trisha Torrey, she is using her experiences as a cancer patient to help others who are going through what she went through. Even though she was misdiagnosed, it still helped her and helps others. She has a great heart, and that is something that all people could do with their experiences in their lives. I've been through a lot of goodbyes so using my experiences in that help me help otheres with what they are going through.
And the fourth sampling I read was about Ben Rosenfeld, he had two passions, and wasnt very good at the first one. After being booed to many times he decided that he needed to do the one he loved and was good at. We are kind of the same, i wanted to be a teacher, but I knew it wasnt going to make me happy my whole life, so i switched helped younger people towards the criminal justice field.
The linkedin person that I chose was Jason Alba, who was laid off from a company and used his free time to create Jibberjobber. And it just kept rising for him from there. He uses all the experiences he got from that and is now successful.
The second linkedin person that i chose was Mark Beckford, he has used all of his education to produce his business. And it has gone all over the country. He is a very dedicated man, and is a very global person. It gives me hope that one day I can start my own system and have it grow across the world.
My five criteria include:
1. trust
2. do what you love
3. help others
4. be good at it
5. dont give up
If i followed these criteria, i will hopefully be successful in my future career.

The State of Me
I am doing very good right now. I am really excited that the first semester is almost over, and i only have one final to worry about during finals week. My boyfriend will be home in 33 days, and i am EXTREMELY excited about that. I really enjoy Thanksgiving so im looking forward to spending time with family and friends back at home. Time has gone by fast this semester, and im not complaining.
Audio Interview
This interview did not take me long to complete. I just sat down with Ross Matters and asked him what he wanted to do with his choosen profession and he did the rest. He knew exactly what he wants to do and how he was going to do it. I didnt have to ask many questions or say much.
I did not have any technology problems, i just used audacity to conduct the interview and everything went smoothly. He talked for about 4 minutes, and it went over well. I learned a lot about his career choice and it sounds like a very interesting and something more people should look into.

What Makes for an Interesting Interview
The names of the interviews that I listened to were; "At the time I was tutuoring at an after school program", "The doctors were amazed he lived as long as he did.", and "The students wouldnt speak to me." And the two that I watched were, "Always a Family" and "Danny and Annie".
In the audio interviews there was music being played in the background in two that i listened to, which made the interview feel more senstive about the subject they was talking about. And there were a few pauses in the course of the two minutes that were filled with the music. The interview was easy to understand, it was informative throughout to help you get it without hearing the whole interview. You got the jist of the interview from the small parts that they played in the samplings. Some were more heartfelt and sad then the others but they all had meaning.
In the animated interviews it was much easier to follow along with the story and there was more information shared. "Always a Family" was sad, and having pictures of the children and father made it seem more real and easier to put yourself into the story. And the same went for "Danny and Annie" it was another sad story that made you think about the one that you love. With the music and the actual visuals of their faces.
The audio and animated interviews were the same with the voices and getting the same information. But they were different because the animated ones gave you visuals to really understand and comprehend what the people are trying to tell you. It makes their story sound more realistic.
My criteria are; 1. start from the beginning, 2. use as much information as you possibly can, 3. dont forget important details, 4. ask as many questions as you can to get the full story as the interviewer, 5. be truthful

Digital Imaging
This picture I played around with in class. I made it black and white, and made it a little lighter. The size of this image is 34.7 KB and the deminsions are 717 X 429. And it is a jpeg. I took this picture off my phone, so the quality of the picture isnt the best but it still turned out pretty nice.
So far in class I have learned about picture size, and that high resolution photos are better to be taking. If i would have taken this picture with a high resolution picture i would have liked it a lot more. But I am learning a lot in this part of class. Like the way that pictures lose color and clearness if you crop out to much or change the size of the image. This part of the course will be very helpful for me.

Peter Lee, Computational Thinking and Explorations
The embedded blogs in this first article help you understand better the definiton of computational thinking. It helped me understand, the first blog didnt explain to me what the words really mean. But with the help of the embedded articles it did. I would come back to this blog to help me with projects and solving problems. Also with the school of computer science, gives me information about schools that will help me. There are many different definitions by different people about what computational thinking is. But it all mostly revolves around the process of solving problems. It also makes problem solving easier for people. This blog is very informational and I would go back to it if i needed help problem solving.
